WHAT IS MADAME LEMY?
Madame Lemy is an all-natural, non-aluminum powder deodorant brand. All our products are vegan, cruelty-free, and free of toxic chemicals. Our unique formula can be used as deodorant, body powder, dry shampoo, and more.
The packaging was inspired by our founder's grandmother, Estelle, and the style of the 1920s. Our gold-stamped, magnetized boxes can be refilled and repurposed so they don't end up in landfills. We also use materials made from recycled paper and limit the use of plastics in our packaging.
Since the brand launched in 2018, demand for clean products and ingredient transparency in the beauty industry has grown exponentially.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
With a decade-long career as a celebrity and TV makeup artist, Madame Lemy founder Holly Eve began her search for an effective natural deodorant after seeing one of her closest friends fight - and lose - a battle with breast cancer.
Her friend encouraged Holly to switch to clean products, emphasizing the importance of using an aluminum-free deodorant. However, after trying a few different options, the products either gave Holly a rash or didn't work at all. That's when she discovered the powerful use of lemons for deodorant and was astonished at how well it worked.
Knowing it was not practical to cut up lemons to deodorize, Holly quickly found a way to turn them into powder and began experimenting with formulas in her small NYC kitchen. With the help of an Oxford-trained chemist and a former VP of R&D for Elizabeth Arden, Holly perfected the formula that is Madame Lemy today. She pulled inspiration from the high-end products she used on clients as a makeup artist and merged luxurious and sustainable packaging with clean ingredients.
Now, Holly is on a mission to educate consumers to switch to clean, safe products whether it be Madame Lemy or another brand. Join us on our journey towards natural, effective, and luxurious self-care.
“I loved working with luxury products, but as I became more aware of what was happening behind the scenes, I quickly realized many of the brands I admired were testing on animals and using harmful ingredients. And the brands that were following ethical practices at the time and using natural ingredients didn’t feel high-end to me. There was clearly a gap in the market.”
